Nickle Galleries, established in 1979, is a vibrant cultural hub located at the University of Calgary. With a mission to actively engage in the cultural life of Calgary and Western Canada, the gallery has evolved from a modest collection to a permanent assembly of nearly 30,000 artifacts spanning art, numismatics, and textiles.
Now situated in a state-of-the-art facility, Nickle Galleries features a wide range of exhibitions, with 8-10 temporary shows hosted each year. This space not only showcases local and guest curators but also supports students and faculty through collaborative projects. Since its inception, the gallery has welcomed close to a million visitors, establishing itself as a significant player in Calgary's arts scene.
